Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez staged discussions with British leader of the opposition Jeremy Corbyn - it has been revealed. The freshman congresswoman told her 2.8million Twitter followers on Sunday she had held a 'wide-reaching conversation' with the Labour Party leader over the weekend. Hardline socialist Ocasio-Cortez said items on the agenda during their chat included furthering 'peace, prosperity and justice' after Mr Corbyn earlier lauded her for 'challenging the status quo'. 'It was an honor to share such a lovely and wide-reaching conversation with you, @jeremycorbyn!' The Labour leader himself earlier tweeted: 'Great to speak to @AOC on the phone this evening and hear first hand how she’s challenging the status quo.
