LONG BEACH, Calif. — Alexander Rossi spent his early racing career in Europe, and his extended family back home in California hardly ever saw him in person. Rossi pulled away after a late restart to win the Grand Prix of Long Beach, completing a dominant weekend by holding off Will Power for his third career victory. Defending Long Beach champion James Hinchcliffe, from Oakville, Ont., was ninth. Graham Rahal was fifth after an opening-lap collision with Simon Pagenaud, who was knocked out of the 44th edition of the Long Beach race. START TO FINISHRossi is the fifth driver to win at Long Beach from the pole, but the first since 2007.
