Alex Trebek has certainly seen his fair share of strange contestants on Jeopardy over the years, presumably keeping his opinions to himself most of the time. But this week, he let his feelings slip when one particular contestant proved to be just a little too “nerdcore,” even for him. Said contestant, Susan Cole, a legislative librarian from Bowie, Maryland, was reminiscing about her favourite genre of music — nerdcore hip-hop. “It’s really catchy and fun.”Not according to Trebek, who quickly responded with a smirk, “Losers, in other words.”“I’m teasing you,” he added, swiftly delivering his well-executed burn before moving on to the next contestant. Far from a loser, Cole went on to pocket $22,600 on the game show.
