Alex Salmond CAN appear at inquiry over handling of sex complaints

They will hold an emergency hearing later today with Mr Salmond vowing not to appear if they refuse and promising a bombshell press conference instead. The inquiry was set up to examine what went wrong with the government's investigation of two internal harassment complaints against Mr Salmond. The inquiry is examining the Scottish Government’s botched handling of harassment complaints that were made against Mr Salmond by two women. The First Minister is already being investigated over possible breaches of the code of conduct by failing to disclose meetings with Mr Salmond. The meetings included discussions that Mr Salmond was facing complaints of sexual harassment made against him.
