Sixteen per cent of Albertans, according to the most recent poll, say neither tax hikes nor spending cuts are preferable. This all suggests recent UCP cuts to health and education were not popular. The left will charge that any future spending cuts are too draconian, and the right will contend the party has not gone far enough.
