Alberta drifter charged in horrific stabbing of two B.C. students that left one dead, one in hospital

A homeless drifter from Alberta has been charged in an apparently random double stabbing that killed a 13-year-old girl and seriously injured her friend at an Abbotsford, B.C., high school on Tuesday. Pound said Klein has no fixed address, and he does not appear to have a criminal record in B.C. She said the accused was taken to hospital immediately after his arrest, and was in the hospital overnight. Pound commended the “selfless” actions of school staff in the aftermath of the stabbing. Premier Christy Clark, who was visibly emotional at a Wednesday press conference, praised school staff who stepped in to stop the attack.
