CHARLOTTETOWN (U SPORTS)—Tyler Preziuso went off for five points Friday afternoon as the the Alberta Golden Bears cruised past the Windsor Lancers 7-0 to advance to the semifinals in the 2023 U SPORTS Cavendish Farms University Cup. The sophomore forward recorded a hat trick and two assists to pace the Golden Bears, while Eric Florchuk had a goal and three assists. Moments later, the Golden Bears took full advantage of a five-minute power play after Windsor’s Robbie Burt received a game misconduct for contact to the head. The Golden Bears took that 5-0 lead into the third period where they quickly scored again on another power play. Preziuso recorded the hat trick at 12:04 on Alberta’s fifth power play goal of the game.
