The veteran actor, who starred in Erin Brockovich, the James Bond film Skyfall, The Bourne Legacy and Poirot, died yesterday afternoon. A statement from a family spokesman said: "Albert Finney, aged 82, passed away peacefully after a short illness with those closest to him by his side. Finney was nominated four times for a Best Actor Oscar and once for a Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
