Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Oscar Albayalde has assured that Senator Antonio Trillanes IV will not be arrested without a warrant, following the orders from President Rodrigo Duterte. “We will wait for the warrant of arrest […] they (police) will stand there until this situation ay maayos ito at maresolve,” Albayalde said in a press briefing on Monday. “Nagde-detail kami don not to arrest, maliwanag si Presidente ‘don, no warrantless arrest, hindi kami mag-aaresto,” he added. “Support lang kami sa Senate, this is a military matter, tandaan natin na si Senator Antonio Trillanes is a former Navy officer,” he explained. On Tuesday, police officers were seen in the vicinity of the Senate on Tuesday, after Malacañang released Proclamation 572 which voided Senator Antonio Trillanes IV’s amnesty.
