After months of boredom and frustration, two Alaskan girls are excited they can go back to classes just across the border in B.C. — a school run that had until recently been impossible due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. The two girls would have been able to return to school earlier but had been denied access by Canadian border officers. Ellie Korpela, 8, says she's excited to be able to play with her classmates again. But Korpela said on Sunday he received a voice message from CBSA telling him he was now permitted to take the two girls to the Stewart school.
