President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met president of Uruguay Tabaré Vázquez in the Presidential Palace on Wednesday. In a similar context, Al-Sisi received a call from president of France Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday, who expressed his sincere condolences regarding the shooting of Coptic Christians in Minya in Upper Egypt, which resulted in the death of 28 civilians. The French president affirmed his country’s full condemnation for the attack and asserted that France stands with Egypt and is in full solidarity with it to confront terrorism that threatens the whole world. A week ago, Al-Sisi called the French president in order to invite him to visit Egypt in a first phone call after congratulating him on taking office, according to a presidency statement. Additionally, they confirmed that they would continue their cooperation in investigations of the crash of EgyptAir flight MS804 from Paris last year.
