A group of vandals have broken into the General Services Company of Benghazi and tampered with its furniture and documents, the director of the service company, Tariq Al-Badri, has said. According to Badri, the group acted upon the instructions of Ali Al-Qatrani, deputy PM in the parallel government backed by the east-based Parliament. In a press statement, the service company's head said the group busted the building with the support of the Benghazi Joint Security Chamber. Al-Qatrani assigned a person loyal to him to head Benghazi's service company, Badri says, considering it an interference and a clear violation of the law. The law says the appointment of a new director of the General Services Company must be issued by the Minister of Local Government, Badri insists.
