CAIRO, 16 May 2021: Al-Ahly defeated their guest Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa 2-0 at Al-Ahly WE Al-Salam stadium, by going through the quarter-finals of the African Champions League first-leg. Taher Mohamed Taher scored the first goal with a powerful shot in the first half of the match, before Salah Mohsen added a second goal in the stoppage time. The second leg match will be held at the Sundowns Stadium next Saturday, in which it is sufficient for Al-Ahly to win, draw, or lose by one goal. Sundowns could not hit Al-Ahly's nets in Cairo during those five confrontations, and their net conceded 10 goals in that period. And the veteran, Dennis Onyango, goalkeeper Mamelodi Sundowns, caused the second goal after a fatal mistake on his 36th birthday, to be a bad memory for the historic goalkeeper of Uganda.
