Tunde AjajaThe Chief Press Secretary and Senior Special Assistant on Media to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Ekerete Udoh, says police report has indicated that the attack on a former aide to the governor, Mr. Mfon Udeme, was by armed robbers and not by assassins. Udoh said in a statement on Friday that the clarification came from the state Police Commissioner, Mr. Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi. “When this attack occurred, the APC was not blamed for the attack or maliciously accused as the mastermind of an assassination attack. “We advise them to stop engaging in unnecessary futile political expeditions using security as a layer of narrative. Akwa Ibom State is peaceful and safe and even the majority of the APC members have openly attested to this.
