During the award giving ceremony, Ananya-editor Tasima Hossain along with poet Asad Chowdhury, professor Begum Akhtar Kamal and other guests, handed over the over the certificate, crest and a cheque of Tk1 lakh to Ananya Sahitya Award 1425 winner Dr Akimun Rahman. While expressing her feelings on winning the title, Dr Akimun Rahman said: “There is no substitute for hard work for a writer. Dr Akimun Rahman was born in Narayanganj in 1960. The Ananya Sahitya Award 1425 has been introduced from the Bangla year 1401 (1993).
