New Delhi: The infighting in the Samajwadi Party intensified on Sunday after Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav sacked four ministers, including his uncle and the party’s state unit president Shivpal Yadav from the cabinet. This is the second time such a action has been taken against Shivpal Yadav by Akhilesh Yadav. Earlier on 13 September, the chief had taken away three key ministerial portfolios from Shivpal Yadav, hours after party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav appointed him as the party’s state president, replacing Akhilesh Yadav. Though party leaders avoided commenting on the sacking, they said that the final word on the matter lies with Mulayam Singh Yadav. “Netaji is holding a meeting with Shivpal Yadav today and he will chair a larger meeting with party legislators tomorrow.
