During his address, the Congress chief reiterated several times that chances of the new alliance forming the government in Karnataka was brighter. "The BJP will be invited to form the government only if the (Karnataka) governor takes a decision like the one taken by Mridula Sinha (Goa governor) last year. We have 116 seats (Congress 78, JD-S 38) and have also obtained the support of two Independents.
