A 33-year-old Mississauga man is dead after a drive-by shooting in Ajax last night. Durham Police officers performed CPR before paramedics arrived and rushed the man to hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Vernie Ferrigon was shot to death in a vehicle in the entrance of a townhouse complex on Ducatel Crescent near Venture Lane, according to police. Officers were called to the area at around 10:30 p.m. for the sound of multiple gunshots and found the man suffering from gunshot wounds inside the parked car. Ducatel is located near the intersection of Kingston Road West and Harwood Avenue.
