Aitor Karanka is named new Nottingham Forest manager

Nottingham Forest have turned to Aitor Karanka to be their next manager, with the former Middlesbrough coach signing a two-and-a-half-year deal to take charge at the City Ground. Karanka, 44, will lead the Championship club, who on Sunday knocked Arsenal out of the FA Cup, in their league game at home against Aston Villa on Saturday. “We are very pleased to have reached terms with Aitor Karanka to become the manager of Nottingham Forest,” the Forest chairman, Nicholas Randall, said. Forest disposed with Mark Warburton’s services on 31 December after less than nine months in charge. The wonderful supporters of the club deserve success and a return to the Premier League.
