Welcoming the removal of the in-flight social distancing (ISD) measures, Malaysia Airlines said that airlines would be able to price fares more competitively for the benefit of customers while balancing the need to cover the cost of operating a flight. For those travelling on flights, airlines must practise the SOP, including taking passengers’ temperatures and making it compulsory for both passengers and crew to wear face masks. Besides additional safety measures in the air and on the ground, Malindo, said Mushafiz, would also show a video on new air travel procedures and aircraft cleaning. Its president Datuk Mohamad Ashfar Ali said express bus operators were still facing the financial effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. He said he hoped that the government would help express bus operators weather the financial impact of the outbreak and the movement control order (MCO).
