Apple AirPods have been massively successful, hugely popular since the day of release. Weinbach says that the next AirPods will have wireless charging, as expected. If so, this is pretty remarkable – wireless charging is conventionally slower than wired, of course, and this is a rate much faster than current wired charging. That’s all down to the inclusion of the wireless charging coil inside which is necessary for Qi charging, for instance. Let’s be clear, the AirPods case is not so big or heavy that this will matter at all.
