AirAsia wins two awards at World Travel Awards 2017 - Nation

PHU QUOC (Vietnam): AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes paid tribute to his staff for winning two awards at the prestigious World Travel Awards 2017 Grand Finals. The airline was named the World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline for the fifth year in a row. It also won the WTA’s inaugural World’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew award at the ceremony held at the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay in Vietnam. She said two years ago the airline was named Asia’s Leading Cabin Crew by WTA, beating a field of full-service carriers. The win was built on AirAsia’s success earlier this year when it secured WTA’s first-ever Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew award.
