Surface and air samples were collected in the ICU. The results from all surface samples tested negative, while those for air samples tested positive for SARS-CoV-2. Droplets move through the air and fall, while aerosols hang in the air longer. Gatherings, especially in an enclosed place have a higher risk of generating aerosol transmission. Portable air cleaners can be used, germicidal ultraviolet technologies installed to kill or remove virus particles found in the air.
