Delhi residents can take a deep breath as the air quality in the capital city improved substantially on Friday (February 5) owing to light rain on Thursday (February 4) and strong winds. The overall air quality index (AQI) in Delhi was recorded at a 'moderate' 133 on Friday, as compared to a 'very poor' index of 316 on Thursday. The air quality monitoring centre of the Ministry of Earth Sciences suggested that the air quality would marginally deteriorate further. The temperature dropped in Delhi once again after reaching as high as 12.4 degrees Celsius on Thursday after the rain. The Safdarjung observatory showed the minimum and maximum temperature in Delhi at 6.8 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively.
