Air New Zealand passengers on flights from Samoa to Auckland may have measles

Dr Maria Poynter of the Auckland Regional Public Health Service advises what to do if you suspect you may have contracted measles. Passengers on flights from Samoa to Auckland last weekend may have been exposed to measles, after travelling with infected flyers. The infected passengers travelled on Air New Zealand flight NZ959 from Apia, Samoa, which landed at 9.40pm on November 8 at 12.45am, and also on a second NZ959 flight, which departed Apia at 9.40pm on November 10 and landed in Auckland on November 11 at 1am. Auckland Regional Public Health Service public health medicine specialist Dr Maria Poynter said passengers should watch for signs of measles.
