According to witnesses and police, in the course of the religious program an altercation broke out between students from a local Qawmi madrasa and members of the Ahmadiyya community at the mosque on Tuesday evening. The confrontation drew more madrasa students to the mosque from outside. Being informed of the attack, a team of police led by Brahmanbaria Additional Superintendent of Police Md Alamgir Hossain rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
