Ahead of the municipal polls in Delhi, the BJP-ruled South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has promised providing gas pipelines to around 10,000 to 15,000 households in west Delhi. The civic agency has requested the Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) officers to fast-track the work. We have requested IGL officers to lay the pipelines on a war-footing such that connections could be provided within two months of registration," said Sharma. The project, he said, will help provide a safe and uninterrupted supply of cooking gas to residents. We have had two incidents of cylinder bursts from nearby colonies," said Rekha Malik, a resident of Ashok Nagar.
