Ahadi Kenya to help Kwale parents fight jigger menace

Ahadi Kenya Trust is planning to start an empowerment programme for poor Kwale parents whose families have been affected by jiggers. Ahadi Kenya Trust executive director Stanley Kamau said some parents cannot afford treatment due to poverty. He urged residents to form groups and tell the Ahadi Kenya Trust what business they want to start. Ahadi Kenya Trust helped remove jiggers on more than 400 pupils from Zigira and Kilole primary schools. He said it is unfortunate that some students who passed last year's KCPE exams were unable to join secondary schools because of lack of fees or uniforms.
