“Farmers are passing the days in uncertainty during the floods and effective work is needed to minimize losses after the flood water recedes,” he said during an online meeting with staff of the ministry, reports UNB. The officials concerned of the ministry will have to work alongside the committees. The committees have started monitoring the implementation of incentive packages of the government, to ensure production of food and minimize the losses of the farmers in 38 flood-hit districts. Secretary Md Nasiruzzaman will monitor the activities of the committees and Additional Secretary Md Hasanuzzaman will coordinate. Additional Secretary Md Hasanuzzaman, Additional Secretary (Admin) Arifur Raman Apu, Additional Secretary (Research) Kamalaranjan Das and other officials concerned of the ministry were present at the meeting.
