The aggrieved individuals said they were aspirants vying to contest for various constituency portfolios but were denied the opportunity to serve the party. According to Isaac Gmaye Tangben who addressed the media, the Northern Regional Executive Committee assured them that, there would be elections in the area. He alleged that, the Northern Regional Chairman, Bugri Naabu embarrassed them when they were subsequently referred to the regional level to purchase the forms to contest for the elections. Meanwhile, the Constituency Chairman, Mr Kwasi Npong, has refuted the allegations and stated emphatically that during the NPP annual delegates conference, it was resolved that, they were not going to hold elections in the area. He further disclosed that, as a result of the resolution, the party didn’t hold polling station and electoral area elections in the constituency.
