Patna, June 4: The principal of a school in Bihar's Samastipur and her husband were arrested today for allegedly helping this year's Intermediate arts topper in the state fudge his age. Dev Kumari Devi, 55, the principal of Sanjay Gandhi High School at Laxminia from where Ganesh had secured first division in the matriculation exam in 2015, was held in Rosera. Ram Kumar, 58, the principal's husband and a former secretary of the school, was arrested in Laxminia. The couple's arrest followed the interrogation of Ganesh and his associate Sanjay Kumar in Patna. Police sources said Sanjay was the kingpin of a certificate forgery racket and had close links with a criminal group in Nalanda.
