Ebenezer BajelaBoxer, Taiwo Agbaje, popularly known as Esepo, has threatened to dump Nigeria and represent another country after Nigerian boxers failed to attend the qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, despite camping in Lagos for the event. In a video that went viral on social media, Agbaje, who spoke in Yoruba, decried government’s ill-treatment of Nigerian boxers. How can the (boxing) federation tell us (boxers) that we don’t have money to prepare for the Olympics qualifiers? “I’m looking for an opportunity to leave the country and once I do, I will totally deny Nigeria. And if Nigeria brings any boxer to challenge the country that I will represent, I promise that I will knock the person out.
