I remember the day in July 2008 when the price of crude oil touched $147 a barrel. Throughout the period of the UPA government (2004-2014), except for a brief interlude, crude oil prices ruled high. The Government is deaf to the pleas to lower the taxes and pass the benefit of lower crude oil prices to the consumers.
