Agadir’s urban development program launched Tuesday at a ceremony held under the chairmanship of King Mohammed VI will propel the city in a new development era and consolidate its positioning as a regional economic hub. The program also provides for the creation of Tikiouine park (28 ha), and Al Inbiâat park (25 ha), and for improving street furniture. The urban development program also provides for upgrading under-equipped neighborhoods, improving the citizens’ living environment, strengthening basic social facilities, in matters of youth and sports, health, education and local economic and commercial activities. Two local development companies “Agadir Souss Massa Aménagement” and “Grand Agadir de transport et de mobilité urbaine” will supervise the implementation of these various projects. The ceremony was also marked by the signing of the framework-agreement on the urban development program of the city of Agadir (2020-2024).
