GEORGE TOWN: A man refused to leave his home, which was hit by rising flood waters, when he could not find his elderly father amid the chaos. Nasri Sabri Amanullah Sahib, 42, said the situation was chaotic when the family's home in Kampung Masjid, Jalan Perak was hit by rising flood waters early this morning. He said he had tried looking for his father, Amanullah Sahib Kadar, 75, at 3am and 5am, all to no avail. Nasri said his father could have fallen when the chaos started and drowned when the water rose without anyone realising. Nasri was speaking to reporters after the solat jenazah (final prayers) for his late father at Masjid Jamek Hashim Yahya in Jalan Perak here this afternoon.
