It was a tense situation in Levack Wednesday afternoon after Greater Sudbury Police were called about a weapons complaint just before 4 p.m. that turned into an hours-long standoff. The incident happened at a home north of 1st Avenue in the community. Police said a suspect was inside the home and had access to firearms. Officers with the Tactical Unit began communicating with the suspect, and the two young people were able to exit the house safely around 6 p.m. The suspect finally surrendered peacefully to police just before 8:30 p.m.
