After South Mumbai residents demand 24X7 parking, BMC asks traffic department to review policy

Following the demands by A-ward residents for round-the-clock road parking instead of at night, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has asked the traffic department to review the policy. We will need a no-objection certificate(NOC) for the traffic department and a decision will be taken after that.”Residents and their associations have demanded for more clarity on the policy. According to the policy, you must submit an application form with residential proof to the ward office to get a parking spot from 8pm to 8am for an annual permit. The BMC has sent the applications and the list of roads to the traffic department for NOCs. In the past two months, the BMC has received application from 28 societies for parking on roads.
