Tamils and Kannadigas are too busy relishing Mysore Pak to spar over its origins. TOI got it wrong and eventually any report quoting that TOI report had to get it wrong. The earlier report here embedded a tweet by Anand Ranganathan that had a newspaper clipping dated February 2, 1835. You can take that with a pinch of Mysore Pak and thank @Aranganathan72 for the authentic documents.
