Briefcase 1 After Dhakha terror attack, security has been beefed up along Meghalaya border. 2 Meghalaya police is coordinating with the BSF police to defend the border. According to him, the additional DG (Law & Order), SB Singh had a proactive and successful review meeting with senior police officials on Saturday in Garo Hills. The DGP further informed that the state police as well as other security agencies are also focusing strongly in the Garo Hills sector of the international border with the ongoing anti-insurgency operation ‘Operation Hillstorm’ yielding positive results. Maintaining it’s vigilant stance especially when it comes to cross border movement with several Meghalaya rebels being holed up in parts of Bangladesh, Meghalaya police has sounded red alert in all its border outposts of the state which shares a mammoth 443 km stretch of international boundary with the neighbouring country.
