New York Republicans suffered significant losses in the 2018 elections, but longtime state GOP Chairman Ed Cox is pushing ahead for another term. Mr. Cox began contacting allies on the party’s state committee last week, making the case for a sixth two-year term when the committee convenes in July. He is traveling to Florida this week for a meeting of the Republican National Committee finance committee and planning a gala dinner fundraiser for the New York GOP next month.
