Afridi Foundation came forward to buy the bat auctioned by Mushfiq for $20,000 Friday. The bat is a historic one as Mushfiq used it to score the country’s first ever Test double hundred. Through a video message posted on Mushfiq’s official facebook account, Afridi said, “Assalamu Alaikum Mushfiq, the work you are doing to help your people is outstanding. On behalf of Pakistan, I want to be a part of your noble cause by buying your cricket bat. From the whole Pakistan and Shahid Afridi Foundation, prayers are with you.
