African growth capital impact firm Secha Capital has launched a training programme called the Junior Operator-Investor Network (JOIN), which it says will cultivate the next generation of leaders in business management, operations and investment. Secha Capital is a black, female-founded growth capital impact firm employing an operator-investor model and investing in companies across sectors in Southern Africa that are making the tech-enabled transition into the green economy. It announced a first close of ZAR300 million (US$15.7 million) of its second fund, the target size of which is ZAR650 million (US$34 million), last September. “We are proud to launch the JOIN programme to create an arsenal of operator-investors in Africa,” said Tebogo Masekwameng, Secha Capital principal. The programme is accepting applications for its inaugural June 2024 cohort here.
