The ambitious initiative is aimed at ending wars, civil conflicts, gender-based violence and genocide prevention across the continent. It captures the stories of outstanding African women and women-led organizations who have worked tirelessly towards building a lasting peace on the continent. They are pathfinders, leaders; pioneers and courageous innovators.”He noted that more than anything, the women in the book “want less talk about women, peace and security, and more action.
