The African School of Regulation will be headquartered in Accra, Ghana and incubated by the African Capacity Building Foundation. The ACBF was chosen because of its reputation, geographic footprint and synergy with African institutions as a Specialised Agency of the African Union. Mamadou Biteye, ACBF Executive Secretary said the proposed school will be instrumental in guiding Africa towards a sustainable energy transition. “The ASR will build the required capacities, create an environment for innovative solutions to regulation challenges and an ecosystem for increased investments. The school aims to be the preeminent pan-African centre of excellence on energy regulation and in providing capacity building on best international regulatory practice.
