In another significant development for Morocco, the North African nation was recently elected to the African Union’s Peace and Security Council. In that sense, the Peace and Security Council is analogous to the UN Security Council. Morocco’s elevation to the body is a testimony to the North African nation’s commitment to African security and stability as demonstrated through years of concrete policies and programmes. Hence, its elevation to the Peace and Security Council is totally justified. There’s much that India and Morocco have in common in Africa; most importantly they share the vision of a self-sufficient Africa that can provide African solutions for African problems.
