Africa/Football: CAF chooses another Moroccan as acting Secretary General

The Confederation of African Football, CAF, Tuesday appointed its Commercial director, Moroccan Abdelmounaïm Bah, as acting Secretary General to replace his compatriot Mouad Hajji who resigned Monday from his position. Bah has been Commercial director since June 2018. The Moroccan will combine both responsibilities until a new Secretary General is elected in an upcoming congress. Though he said he was leaving the football governing body on personal grounds, reports say that Hajji has fallen out with his boss over internal issues including corruption. Ahmad and CAF have been in trouble after Pricewaterhouse Coopers audit urged FIFA, the world football governing body, to investigate the organization and its leader over illicit money transactions.
