Africa CDC briefs the permanent council ( PRC ) and Ambassadors from non-AU states on COVID -19 situation in Africa, Africa CDC responsive activities and recommendation. Africa CDC gave an orientation to the African Union Commission staff on the epidemiological situation, Africa CDC efforts, and the precautions that staff members should take to prevent themselves and others from getting infected by COVID-19. Africa CDC has held four press briefings since the outbreak started to provide updates to journalists. Africa CDC has also created a WhatsApp group with over 100 journalists to share updates about the outbreak in Africa and what Africa CDC and the countries are doing.
