The PRO of the regional command, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, told Class News: “What we did in the area was a legitimate police operation to rescue 24 children who have been trafficked from all over the country. “So, based on intelligence, the police went to the area to rescue those children and it was an operation carried out by the anti-human trafficking unit. We carried out the operation to rescue them and to arrest the perpetrators and deal with them. We’ve rescued 16 out of the 24 and the eight, we’re still pursuing to rescue them.
