KABUL, Afghanistan — Afghan officials say a suicide car bombing has killed four policemen in southern Kandahar province while a motorcycle bomb blast in western Herat province killed four civilians. Gen. Abdul Raziq, Kandahar’s police chief, says the suicide bomber detonated his explosives-laden car in front of the governor’s compound in Maiwand district Friday morning. There was no official claim of responsibility but Raziq blamed the Taliban. Along with the four killed, the explosion wounded six policemen. Walizada says that along with the four civilians killed, six were wounded.
