Delivering the State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament on February 27, 2026, President Mahama noted that the Tema Development Company (TDC) is making significant progress on an 800-unit project at Community 26. President Mahama cuts sod for TDC Housing Project in HoIn December 2025, President Mahama cut the sod for the Oxygen City Housing Project in Ho, Volta Region, describing it as a major step toward reducing the country’s housing deficit. “The TDC in Ghana is also steadily advancing work on 800 housing units under the affordable housing project at Community 26, to position TDC Ghana as a key player in Ghana’s housing industry,” he said. With demand for housing steadily rising, President Mahama explained that sustained investment in large-scale housing projects will be critical to improving access to safe, affordable, and modern accommodation for Ghanaians.
